About matthewmizzi.wordpress.com

Brief. Interactive. Simple.

This is the editorial policy of matthewmizzi.wordpress.com. In this blog I shall mostly focus on giving you the latest news and commentary from business, media and marketing in a brief, interactive and simple manner.

Brief.

Why should you read long-winded arguments when you’re going to spend a minute max on a page? I try to give you the briefest news, comments and analysis. In order to achieve this aim, I adopt one aim: cut the crap.

Interactive.

This blog is all about trying to maximise the potential of the internet as a medium of information. I try embed videos, maps and everything that makes a post interactive. I want to imagine the future of internet content on this blog.

Simple

Use of facts and terms is made only when necessary. A writer is there to communicate. So no difficult jargon which will scare you from learning more about issues which have a direct import on your life.

A bit of background information

This is my third blog ever. I have in fact been blogging since I was fifteen years old. Back then I had started Malta Daily, a blog which featured a commentary on daily news breaking in Malta and abroad. I then moved on to a sports blog: TryLine Rugby Blog – the first blog on the Maltese rugby scene. This blog also witnessed the launch and co-ordination of the first Maltese online capaign called ‘Give Malta a Rugby Pitch‘ and which featured support from rugby blogs in the English-speaking world.

My experience in Insite – The Student Media Organisation gave me the opportunity to keep blogging on Students’ View blog on timesofmalta.com. This is an itneresting experience as I am given the opportunity to deal with established journalists on the media scene.

About Moi

Desccribed by my friends as a bit dotty, I am a proud law student at the University of Malta. After taking an active role in different organisations, including student politics, I finally settled in Insite – The Student Media Organisation where I was involved in its reorganisation process in 2007. I am currently CEO of the same organisation. I must admit that Insite has become my greatest passion.

Insite gave me the opportunity to further my journalism skills and fall in love with this sector.

I also contributed to The Times Business as an intern where I learnt more about the local business environment.
